Ted Cranias

Ted Cranias joined the Brant Hickey firm in early 2002 to lead the Orlando division of BH&A. Mr. Cranias’ main focus is concentrated in Catastrophic Worker’s Compensation, Product Liability, and Medical Malpractice claims.

 Mr. Cranias reached a capstone event that incorporated his twenty one (21) years of assisting Fortune 500 clients in the successful resolution of over $250 million in workers’ compensation and personal injury claims. A seasoned settlement consultant and negotiator, Mr. Cranias possesses extensive and comprehensive knowledge of the intricacies in resolving catastrophic injury claims with specific emphasis on Medicare Set Asides (MSA’s), Trusts, professional MSA administration, and pre- and post-settlement funding processes.

Mr. Cranias is often sought after as a source of authoritative information regarding Medicare Set-Aside arrangements and their use within Structured Settlements. In 2006, he was one of the first recipients of the Medicare Set Aside Consultant Certified (MSCC) designation, an expert designation conferred by the Commission on Health Care Certification and the University of Florida. In addition to the “MSCC” designation, Ted also earned the “CSSC” (Certified Structured Settlement Consultant) designation, one of the highest levels of certification available in the structured settlement industry.

            In 1993 Mr. Cranias graduated Cum Laude from John B. Stetson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management.  He is a frequent guest speaker at the Stetson University School of Business on the subject of entrepreneurial endeavors and the perils of civil liability. Mr. Cranias is also a licensed insurance agent and a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association. Ted lives in Longwood, Florida with his beautiful wife Jackie and their two children.
